JEANIE ALLEN
(AND HER PUBLIC RELATIONS PORTFOLIO)

Hi, I'm Jeanie! Welcome to my website!
I love people and my job. I grew up with a wonderful and large family and I've never been shy about meeting new people. I have always naturally been a connecter, so PR suits my personality.

Before going back to school to finish my second graduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, I had the opportunity to work in communications for two years. It was demanding but the most satisfying and energizing job I had ever experienced. In 2016, was given the opportunity to utilize the knowledge I had learned at Kent State University when I was asked to head up the PR and Social Media for the Official Desmond Doss, whose story was depicted in Mel Gibson's blockbuster film, Hacksaw Ridge. I have met some of the most interesting people and can't believe how much fun I've had.

Here's a little more about me...

I was born in Virginia and raised in Yale, a small rural Russian (Ukrainian) community in southeastern Virginia.

I earned a B.S. degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders and a M.Ed. at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, but soon found myself working in the communication field.

After moving to Tennessee and spending several years teaching K-2 students, I followed my passion and completed a M.A. degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Kent State University in 2015.

I enjoy traveling, hiking, photography, cooking, am a self-proclaimed Photoshop junkie, and passionate about family, friends, grateful for our military/veterans  and doing whatever I can to make a difference.
